Purpose of this Site
This site is dedicated to people who want to learn about web pages.
This domain name, ronaldreed.com, ought to be easy to remember. There is a likelyhood that there is a similar capibility with the use your name.  But, you may say, "Why do I need a presence on the web?"
As you see, from my home page, I and others can use my home page to link to my other sites.  This site has no email related to the domain just to avoid some spam generators.  The use of the web page, "My Email Page", allows me to change my e-mail address when the time requires it.
Essentially, the domain use in my case is a substitute for My Favorites and history links!  It is a learning site for designing web pages.

There is a little more to designing web pages than securing a domain. One has to learn to type, and author some files.  I have seven sites that are used by early teenagers to learn web page design (see menu).
So, if you feel a little creative try developing a presence on the web for yourself or organization.
Here is an example of an artist friend and student that may like to display her work on the Internet. Her name is Ethlyn "Bonnie" Lehman. This painting ( Click Here ) is four feet square. With a little encouragement, she could have a presence on the Internet to display her artistry. With her own domain her personal web site might be accessible from this address:

http://BonnieLehman.com
Of Course, Bonnie could let author and maintain your web site.

What will you need to design your web pages?
Your will need a text or HTML editor.
We do not recommend a HTML editor, like Microsoft's Front Page,
until you learn the HTML coding. Download Notepad+.exe (422 kbytes).
The Notepad+ editor is an enhancement MS-Notepad text editor.
You can use this editor to create your web files using HTML coding.
If you have access to Microsoft's Front Page HTML editor, and insist on
having two learning curves (that of the HTML coding aspects, and
the use of a HTML editor) than here is a link to a Front Page tutotial.
Your will need a "file transfer protocal" (ftp) utility.
     Download WS_FTPle.exe Limited Edition (1085135 bytes, 7/12/99)
The above installation file will create the WS_FTP95.exe Utility.
The WS_FTP95 utility transfers your computer file to your domain computer.

Your will need a "browser" to view your web file.
Most computer systems comes with the MS-Internet Explorer (IE) browser.
But, there is a much better free browser. The Netscape browser is
much more "friendly" when creating web page files.
Download Netscape installation utility (Version 7.n is prefered),
then install the Netscape executable browser utility.
